先ほどヤフーニュースで確認した下記一文の英訳に挑戦してみました。答え合わせは明日の英文記事で確認できると思います（この記事が英訳されていればのお話ですが。）。
バンダイは4月12日、携帯型ゲーム「たまごっちプラス」シリーズの世界累計販売数が3月末時点で2000万個を超えたと発表した。
Bandai Corp. announced Wednesday worldwide total sales of "Tamagocchi Plus" series had exceeded 20 million as of the end of March.
原文では4月12日と具体的な日付がありますが、私がいつも読んでいるThe Daily Yomiuri だと、ほとんどの場合「曜日」が書かれています。ですので、今日4月12日は水曜日ですので、Wednesdayとしてみました。さらに、自分的には Wednesday の後に that を入れたくなるのですが、これも The Daily Yomiuri の記事をみてみますと that が入っていません。ですので省きました。
「携帯型ゲーム」という語句が上手く入れられなかったのですが、実際どのように英訳されるのか楽しみです。ちなみに携帯型ゲームはどういえばよいでしょう。portable gamesでしょうか。なにか物足りない気もしますが。このあたりも気になります。
世界累計販売数 というのも気になるところで、直訳的ですが worldwide total sales としてみました。
